NIKU Farms previously took an uncompromising step forward towards reducing our ecological footprint and became the first meat-shipping company in Canada to switch all of our insulation packagings to the sustainable Green Cell Foam. Over the last many months, NIKU Farms has successfully prevented over 44,000 lbs of EPS (expanded polystyrene, like STYROFOAM) from entering landfills and polluting the environment. For scale: 44,000lbs is the equivalent to 44 polar bears, 440 large male deers, or 4,400 large sacks of potatoes. The consumer industry is extremely fast-paced and the waste generated by this system is astronomical. From the beginning, we have strived to set a new standard for the delivery industry and are proud to showcase the impact our initiative has made thus far.
