Are you spending some time at the cottage this summer?
You’re probably trying to come up with some recipes to make for your family while you’re enjoying some time away from home.
Our pasture-raised, grass-fed meat products are a great addition to any of your favourite cottage time recipes. Keep on scrolling to get some ideas on what you can cook up for your family this summer.
Pasture-Raised Pork Ribs
Whether you want to do your pork ribs on the grill or baked in the oven, you’re going to get a succulent, juicy rack of ribs!
Grill for about one and a half to two hours on medium to low heat, or bake in the oven on low heat for 3-4 hours, and cover with a sweet barbecue sauce that’ll compliment your pork. Finger foods are just more fun on vacation, and your family won’t be disappointed with ribs!
Grass-Fed Steak Tacos
If you want to go the finger food route, tacos is another fan favourite!
Cook your grass-fed steak on the grill or stove top until you hit a solid medium-rare. Then heat your tortillas on the grill or pan before adding your toppings. Cut the steak into strips and add to your tortillas, then add whatever else you like to your soft tacos.
We recommend using chipotle mayo, cilantro, coleslaw and lime juice!
Grilled Pork Chops
Season your pasture-raised pork chops with salt and pepper, and dress with a marinade including minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, parsley and thyme. Let the chops sit in your marinade for at least an hour before putting them on the grill.
Then get your meat on the grill and cook until they hit an internal temperature of 145F. Feel free to top with a sweet sauce that will go well with the tangy pork.
BBQ Pasture-Raised Chicken
Whether your family loves whole chicken, chicken breasts, chicken wings, legs, or thighs – we’ve got you covered. Season your chicken with salt and pepper, as well as your favourite sweet and tangy barbecue sauce.
Cook to an internal temperature of 145F, and when they’re done cooking, add some more sauce on top for added flavour!
