Sandwich Recipes featuring Pasture-Raised Meat | NIKU Farms

Looking for tasty sandwich combos you and your family will love?

We’ve got some recipes for you to learn how to make flavourful sandwiches you’ll love to make again and again.

Hot Chicken Sandwich

If you can’t get enough spice, we recommend you cook up a crispy hot chicken sandwich!

Get yourself a pasture-raised chicken breast, or chicken thighs if you prefer the dark meat. Bread and fry your chicken if you like it crispy, or you can cook it up as is – then it’s time to start thinking about bread and toppings.

Use your bun of choice (something soft and toasted works well), and add your favourite hot sauce or BBQ sauce to the chicken. Whether you want a splash of sauce, or to drench your chicken, that’s up to you!

For toppings, use some creamy mayo, a bit of lettuce and some pickles for a fresh, tangy note.

Grass-Fed Brisket Sandwich

Slow-cook your fatty brisket until it is super tender, then pull the meat apart like pulled pork and it’s ready for your sandwich!

A toasted brioche bun works well with the brisket. Then top with cheddar cheese and coleslaw for some sharp and fresh flavours.

Loaded Grilled Cheese Sandwich

The best thing about grilled cheese is that it’s an extremely versatile dish.

You can use any bread, cheese, or toppings you want, as long as the cheese is gooey and the bread is buttered and toasted.

Take some classic sliced bread and butter on the outsides, then add your favourite sliced cheese. Then it’s time to get creative! Add pickles, tomatoes, olives, pasture-raised sliced turkey, grass-fed brisket – anything you like!

Put the entire sandwich in a pan on medium-low heat and cook until the cheese is melted.

Pasture-Raised BLT

Everyone loves a good BLT, but have you ever tried to kick it up a notch? Why not double up the B, L, and T?

Take your toasted sliced bread and add pasture-raised bacon, lettuce, a slice of tomato, then use another toasted slice of bread, and repeat! If you want to take your BLT to the next level, try using chipotle mayo or adding a slice of cheddar cheese in your layers!

Grass-Fed Meatball Sub

Looking for a heartier sandwich – try cooking up a grass-fed meatball sub!

Whether you prefer beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, or bison, we’ve got you covered. Order your favourite type of ground meat from our local farms and mix with breadcrumbs and eggs to bind your meatballs. Pan cook until browned, then add them to your submarine buns.

Top with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce, then cook in the oven until warmed through and the cheese is melted.
